Great point re: Hoke seizing the "moral high ground" in recruiting. (It's why Hoke's a superb choice: he's one in a long line of fundamentally decent people who have been M head coaches I exclude RR from that list, ahem...)<br /><br />And your comment about Forcier the "poocher" made me think: why don't teams train and practice a "pooch" punter, from amongst all members of the backfield? Forcier was a rarity. Seems to me every recruited punter has to have freakish leg strength, torque, etc, and great technique. In contrast, a pooch punter is EXTREMELY valuable bu just has to have good athletic ability (hand/eye/foot - which many have), along with "the knack" for making a good pooch punt.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
